Sandy & Pierre,

Thank you for the advice! You guys are always educating me about how the
world wears costumes. I am floored by the Mummers costumes. I had never
heard of Mummers until you mentioned this museum. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I have
been looking at videos online at You Tube and
http://www.myphl17.com/community/mummers/video/ . I will call the Mummers
Museum and see if I can do a photo shoot. Do they have a lot of costumes on
display?

I generally do not travel to cold weather places this time of year. But my
husband has a business trip and I am tagging along. I am really struggling
through the winter and trying to wait to go to Mardi Gras in March. I hate
that MG is this late...my winter escapes are always in Feb. Either I go
somewhere or I will have my entire house and yard decorated for Valentine's
Day followed by Mardi Gras. A friend sent me his photo link of his New
Orleans Mardi Gras Marching Club. I am hoping to be in N.O. early to see
all the parades...including his marching club. Here are his photos:

Kate, Thank you for your suggestion. Is it your daughter who used to work
at the Fine Arts Museum? I think that I can catch the Fine Arts Museum in
May when we drive to New Jersey for Costume-Con. Both exhibits will be
open. It also gives me time to work out a photo shoot with the curator.

I pray that we make it out of Richmond, Virginia Wednesday. We are supposed
to receive a big snowstorm Tues-Wed. We are driving to Philly.

The Mummers Museum! It's been 10 years since we've been there, but we liked
it. Not too far away from the fabric district on 4th St. (we walked it,
though it wasn't the best neighborhood).
