In 1913, my not-so-rich farm bride grandmother wore dove gray for her wedding. Then <sob> she _cut_it_up to make my father's first suit!

In 1943, my mother wore a plain suit (whose color she never told me!) for her wartime wedding.

Alas. We all missed the chance to wear something spectacular. I wore a simple white dress, not even floor length.
