I am assuming that she means 12th -13th century?
Though I am not an expert I have done some reasearch in of garments of the
12th century. This is the first time I have heard of the "being sewn into
their garments. Where did she hear this?
Loose garments could be pulled over the head and then there is lacing and
sometimes buttons. Also, it depends on the garment.
Does she have a pic of what she is talking about?
