I have never seen any good evidence for back lacing of fitted dresses in the period of that fashion (roughly 1350-1450). I have only seen secondary-source references, in which costume historians assume that back lacing "must" be there in images that don't show front lacing.
If you do find anything solid, please let me know. My working assumption at the moment is that back lacing, if it was done at all, was rare and atypical.
