I just received my 2011 issue of Costume, and was delighted to see that Naomi Tarrant favorably reviewed my books Bustle Fashions 1885-1887 and Directoire Revival Fashions 1888-1889. It's not easy to get reviewed in academic publications.

Other articles that may be of interest:

"Presuming Too Far . . . Thomas Cromwell's Use of Textiles in His Schemes for Social and Political Success"

 "Women's Dress in Sixteenth-Century Sweden"

"A Seventeenth-Century Doublet from Scotland" (with pattern diagrams)

"From Caterpillar to Butterfly and Back: A Waistcoat of the French Revolution"

"The Screen Archive South East: Non-Fiction Film in Fashion History"

"Rediscovering Mattli: A Forgotten 1950s London Couturier"

"How It All Began: A Life in Textile Conservation"

The journal is not online (as far as I know), but you can buy individual issues or memberships (which include a subscription) at http://costumesociety.org.uk.
