I joined temporarily in about 2003 or so, I'm not sure exactly, when I was asking for everyone's comments on the vintage phtoo of my great-grandmother, to help me in reproducing th e dress she wore in thephoto. Then I dropped out.....the volume of mail was just too much for what I was going through after that, with my Mom sick. I rejoined about 3 years ago, when I was researching the Civil War era to re-create a dress, and also joined Godey's Lady's Book.com, and have learned so much from everyone and made a few lasting friends. Right now, with one of the "extra" dressesI made of the CW period, since I needed a whole wardrobe, including a wool winter coat, I am planning a costume presentation about "Little Women".
