Dear CSA Members and Guests, ** ** I'm so pleased to invite you to CSA Western’s Fall formal program, "*Florence Boynton and the Berkeley Historical Society"* on October 2, at a special low price: just $20 for members, $10 for student members. Please feel free to spread the word and bring your friends (Registration deadline *September 23* ): Organized by Shelley Rideout, past-president of CSA Western Region and co-author of *Berkeley Bohemia* will give an illustrated lecture, "*Dancing to Her Own Tune: Florence Boynton and the Temple of Wings*" on the theatrical and fashion collection of Florence Boynton, dancer and choreographer, and her family, housed in the Berkeley Historical Society. Boynton was a friend of Isadora Duncan and one of the more notorious inhabitants of Berkeley's "Nut Hill" in the early 1900s. The program will also include a curator-led tour of the exhibition, *Berkeley Women Vote: Celebrating California Suffrage 1911-2011*. *Following the tour and lecture, attendees are invited to attend the CSA Western Region Annual Membership Meeting* -- ideal for students and non-members to learn about the organization, and for members to hear directly from their board! The flyer is attached as a PDF and can also be downloaded from the CSA Website here: http://www.costumesocietyamerica.com/RegionV/event_workshop_sym.htm Questions?
