Does anyone know of any patterns or where I could find pictures of patterns for
quilting a petticoat from around 1774?  Lynn

I've handled ones from the 18th cent--to get the batting that thin, you have to
split todays wool batting in half. They are rather light--my repro is silk/wool
batting/heavish linen and is thin, stiff and light.
(wool batting is DA Bomb! to quilt. I loves it!)
