I like Fortuny but I think his simpler styles, while elegant, are somewhat overrated. There is a European label called Cocoon Commerz/Privatsachen that makes crinkle silk dresses and tunics rather like Fortuny, in a variety of colors that change from season to season. You can buy one on eBay for two or three hundred dollars, which may be pricey but it's a lot cheaper than a vintage Fortuny. They are probably actually made in India for a depressingly low price.

Re: vintage: there's something to be said for older clothing, in that
often I find anything from the 1950s or earlier seems to be so much
better made. If it's lasted this long, why NOT wear it?
