Hi Thomas (and others), my dissertation is concerned with building a portal, or shall we use the fancy word "social network". I'm trying to migrate my data from an old, legacy vbulletin board (MySQL) to a new db scheme and also possibly a new database. Now, I do not expect millions of current users like Facebook, but I definitely want my application to be able to scale in the future.
Is there any reason to stay with MySQL and not to migrate to h2? I was thinking of embedded mode and as demand grows one might split that up into server-cluster mode? What problems could I run into? I really like h2, I use it for testing and I was just thinking - why not also in production? :) Cheers Marco --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "H2 Database" group.
