Jopr actually has no restriction on the method of communication used
to talk to one of the products it wants to monitor / manage. Granted,
JMX is used for JBossAS, but SNMP is used for Apache, SQL is used to
hit system tables on Oracle, and we even go over some proprietary
interfaces or call out to the OS as needed. Since Jopr is extensible
via it's plugin-based design, each plugin can independently decide
what the best way to talk to the type of resource it wants to manage.
