BindException was supressed internally in H2 so you didn't see it . This is the last comment from the page I've sent: "This is a problem on windows and their TCP/IP implementation. Based on this article in MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms819739.aspx. I set the TcpTimedWaitDelay to 30 seconds and the MaxUserPorts to 32000. This gives me enough local ports to get around the issue. I had to create these DWORD registry entries and then reboot."
