Hi,
isBeforeFirst() method on ResultSet (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/
docs/api/java/sql/ResultSet.html#isBeforeFirst%28%29) says the
following:
Returns:
true if the cursor is before the first row; false if the cursor is
at any other position or the result set contains no rows
So it should return false for an empty resultSet.
But H2 is returning me true. I've look at the code and I found:
public boolean isBeforeFirst() throws SQLException
{
...
return result.getRowId() < 0;
...
}
That does not take into account the empty resultSet. Documentation
at :
http://www.h2database.com/javadoc/org/h2/jdbc/JdbcResultSet.html
says "Checks if the current position is before the first row, that
means next() was not called yet."
That is something different from what the ResultSet javadoc says.
Is there any reason for that? I am missing something?
Thanks,
Mikel
