Until 12:37:10 the first table is filled. In the next few seconds the index is created and as you can see memory usage rises extraordinary and nevermore decreases. Until 12:37:30 a second table is filled. And again, while creating the index, memory usage increases to 185MB. The "leftover" (see http://groups.google.com/group/h2-database/t/15814309be95cd07) is some 35MB...
