Yes some kind of XML Service between my java appliation and the Widget would work. But as this is a very basic application I don't want to set ut the required servera. But seems like it is possible to use the command shell from javascript in OS X. Maybe I just add a shell interface to my application that the Widget can use. But Extracting data from the database is another story I guess.
