The database file usually needs more space than a text file, mainly because a database uses b-trees that are on average only 50% full (to allow fast inserts and updates). Also, you may have secondary indexes. But the ratio 25 MB to 80 MB is quite big. Could you run the Recover tool and post the statistics part (at the end of the .sql file)?
