I works nice. I just did

git clone http://h2database.googlecode.com/svn h2database

and got the whole repo (without tags). It took ages, but works nice.

That said, I fully agree with Linus' opinion on svn. It's the most
useless project in the world. Despite the bad git integration in
eclipse, I'm really glad I threw svn away. Even for a developer on one-
man project (like me) getting no patches, even for a poor guy working
on Windows/Cygwin (i.e. for me), git is a clear winner hands down.
