The link is not prominent, because in many cases sending an email is much better than creating an issue: in many cases it's not actually an bug but a usability problem. If a user creates an issue it will delay solving the problem, because very few people actually are subscribed to the issue tracker. But many read and respond to mails in this group. Another good place for support is StackOverflow by the way.
