Thanks Tom and Noel, I will run the profiler and check where the bottleneck is. My guess is the IO reads.
I did run this on a beefier Desktop (2.3 GHz - Quad Core, 2 GB Hi- speed RAM, 300 GB HDD @7200) and could load 2 M in 70s. Also, I noticed that only one core was being used. Should MULTI_THREADED=1 do the trick?
