My 2 cents worth... My desktop app that uses H2 continues to have similar problems to Hendrik's. Particularly if the user's machine unexpectedly loses power, the database can be in a corrupt, unrecoverable format. This happens way less with the most recent H2 releases than two years ago, but still happens often enough.
