I can't reproduce the problem (no exception is thrown for me). My complete
test case:
drop all objects;
create table item(id int primary key, name varchar);
CREATE ALIAS IF NOT EXISTS FT_INIT FOR "org.h2.fulltext.FullText.init";
CALL FT_INIT();
CALL FT_CREATE_INDEX('PUBLIC', 'ITEM', NULL);
If it still doesn't work for you, please provide a short, reproducible test
case.
