I recently upgraded my version of h2 to 1.3.167 so that I could use
recursive queries. I upgraded my database via the recommended route:
(1) Open database in console
(2) SCRIPT TO <text file>
(3) Close database and move its file somewhere else
(4) Re-open database in console (thus forcing new database to be created)
(5) RUNSCRIPT FROM <text file>
Now when I run my Java code against this new database, I am seeing
that views which the code needs to create at runtime (in a metadata
updater class) are not being created any more. I have added code to
turn autocommit off and on around the update statements so that I can
quit right afterwards and check in the console what is actually
there...it appears the changes are not being made!
Is this a known problem? When are metadata updates committed to the database?
