Hi A project I am working on uses H2, so I am looking into this technology as a new user. I noticed that the homepage hardly describes what H2 *is*.
The following is the most I could find: Welcome to H2, the Java SQL database. The main features of H2 are: > > - Very fast, open source, JDBC API > > > - Embedded and server modes; in-memory databases > > > - Browser based Console application > > > - Small footprint: around 1.5 MB jar file size > > No where else on the website can I find a more in depth explanation of the main characteristics of H2. I had to go to Wikipedia to get some more insight. (That also serves as a good example for the kind of information most new users will be looking for) This is a common issue I find in homepages of technologies. They never realy explain what the product *is*, and assume the user is already familiar with the entire context in which it is situated. The only way to realy get a glimpse of the structure, functionality and design of the technology, is by installing it and reading the full manual. So... I'm just putting this out here as a suggestion for improvement... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "H2 Database" group.
