Actually this can be simplified to CREATE ALIAS GET_ENV FOR 
"java.lang.System.getenv" and I have a similar CREATE ALIAS GET_PROPERTY 
FOR "java.lang.System.getProperty".
Both don't need to compile so I can use JRE w/o JDK.

I use the GET_PROPERTY to pass parameters to the script through the java 
command-line.
