I have an MVStore file that is about 300MB. Running MVStoreTool -info gives me this:

My estimate of the amount of in-use data in the file is about 6MB, which is about 2% so that is in the right ballpark. The question then is why is the file so big? If I attempt to compact it I get this: java -cp temp org.h2.mvstore.MVStoreTool -compact test.db Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalStateException: File corrupted in chunk 781582, expected page length 4..768, got 774975793 [1.4.200/6] at org.h2.mvstore.DataUtils.newIllegalStateException(DataUtils.java:951) at org.h2.mvstore.Chunk.readBufferForPage(Chunk.java:368) at org.h2.mvstore.MVStore.readBufferForPage(MVStore.java:1211) at org.h2.mvstore.MVStore.readPage(MVStore.java:2235) at org.h2.mvstore.MVMap.readPage(MVMap.java:672) at org.h2.mvstore.Page$NonLeaf.getChildPage(Page.java:1043) I have another file that gives similar results that has grown to 1.5GB. It seems that new chunks are being added to the end of the file, but none are being reused. Any idea what's going on and what I can do about? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "H2 Database" group.
