Hi folks,

I have several proposals in the area of contributors and core
contributors. Current core contributors, please vote on these proposals,
either individually, or with a global +1 or -1 if you agree or disagree
with all of them :-) This proposal will timeout in one week (October 25).

First, I am proposing general guidelines for qualifications to be a
contributor or a core contributor.

A contributor is someone who has contributed something (code, QA, pubs,
G11N, project reviews, code reviews, code cleanup, code cleanup reviews,
evangelism, etc.) to the HA Clusters community group effort.

A core contributor is someone who fits the criteria of contributor and
who is also active and visible in the community answering questions on
the alias, leading or contributing to a project, fixing or code
reviewing bugs, etc.

I also propose that everyone starts as a contributor, and then is
elected as a core contributor after proving his or her ongoing
involvement. With a few exceptions listed below, current core
contributors are grandfathered in as core contributors.

I'm proposing to add the following people as contributors to the HA
Clusters community:

Lisa Shepherd (lisashep)
Lisa has been instrumental in writing documentation for Open HA
Cluster. She's currently hard at work preparing the data services man
pages for opensourcing. She has also been quite active on not only the
ha-cluster-discuss alias, but in answering questions on other aliases
such as documentation and zones.

Madhan Kumar Balasubramanian (madhankb)
Venkat Chennuru (vchennu)
Maria Nieto (mnieto)
Venugopal NS (venu_ns)
Madhan Kumar, Venkat, Maria, and Venu have contributed substantial
QA expertise to testing the opensource code and Solaris Cluster Express.

Lingling Chyu (lingling)
Lingling put in substantial behind the scenes work to prepare the
DATS test suite for opensourcing. She is currently working hard on
preparing more test suites for opensourcing.

Bharathi Subramanian (ishekar)
Bharathi has contributed engineering resources to the Solaris
Cluster Express installer.

Venkateswarlu Tella (venku)
Venku is responsible for the ongoing effort to ensure that Open HA
Cluster runs on OpenSolaris.

Finally, I propose the following changes to the current list of core
contributors
(http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/ha-clusters/Contributors/):

Thelan Nguyen (thelan) is moved to contributor status
Kazuhiko Maekawa (mkaz) is moved to contributor status
Thelan and Kazuhiko contribute substantially to the ongoing effort
to opensource Solaris Cluster test suites and G11N, but the move to
contributor will keep their status in line with the above guidelines,
and in line with other QE and QA engineers.

Thanks,
Nick
