Hi,

Although I have some years of experience running Linux, I'm a complete
OpenSolaris newbie.
So I'm not sure if I'm writing to the right list.

At the moment I'm running a small Linux cluster the serves X desktops
to adminitrative personnel via NX.
Diskless nodes where the desktops run boot remotely and mount / with NFS.
Users connect to a node and share the OS with the other users logged
onto the same node. I'm not virtualizing an OS per user.

I do use Xen to virtualize a number of servers like the node_server,
home_server, ldap, cups, samba, etc, etc.

My big concern with the current setup is that _all_ of my virtual
servers and _all_ of my disk drives are in one box.
So I thought OpenSolaris could be a solution.
I would like to spread the virtual servers and disk drives between 2
boxes with the hope that when one box dies, the cluster will keep
running.

Is this list the right place for me?
What I'm proposing is sensible/possible?

Thanks.
Chris.
