Detlef, Yes sir, we were planning to create a high availability mysql instance using Sun cluster where one node at a time is mastering the DB. We did want to create this with one node being x86 and the other being Sparc.
Our Sun re-sellers here in Australia inform us that this is unsupported. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: Detlef.Ulherr at Sun.COM [mailto:detlef.ulh...@sun.com] Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 11:54 PM To: Benjamin O'Hara Cc: Martin Rattner; ha-clusters-discuss at opensolaris.org Subject: Re: [ha-clusters-discuss] HA Mysql Cluster - mixed environment Hi Benjamin, are you planning to create a high available mysql instance using sun cluster. This will result in a active passive configuration where one node at a time is mastering the database. Or do you want to use mysql cluster where you store your data in the ndb engine, to create a active active configuration. Kind regards Detlef Benjamin O'Hara wrote: > Yes sir - a mysql high availability cluster > > On 28/07/2009, at 5:37 PM, "Martin Rattner" <Marty.Rattner at Sun.COM > <mailto:Marty.Rattner at Sun.COM>> wrote: > >> Benjamin, >> >> Please clarify.
