I'm using SXCE instead of Opensolaris right now because of some of the
non-open-source packages included in SXCE (Sun Management Console, for
example). I'd like to set up an HA iSCSI/NFS/SMB box that has shared backend
storage and provides HA connectivity for iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS clients. I'm
using ZFS to manage the storage, volumes, shares, etc. My first question is:
what version of the clustering/HA software should I use on SXCE? The Sun
Cluster Express version, which seems to be the recommended version, is rather
old - 12/08. The newest packages, on the ha-clusters Opensolaris site, seem to
be built using the new package format that OSOL uses. Am I stuck with the year
old Cluster Express, or is there something else that will work on SXCE?
