First off, welcome to Habari! I hope we can answer any of your
questions satisfactorily.
I believe what you're referring to is autop().
What theme are you using? If you edit your theme file, you should be
able to disable the autop formatter.
Delete the line in theme.php which looks like this:
Format;:apply('autop', 'post_content_out');
In 0.7, we have moved this functionality to a plugin, so you can
disable it at will. If you'd like to get the functionality earlier,
you can try running the most recent version of Habari from svn.
