Hi David and welcome (again) to Habari :)

I'll try to address mostly the Charcoal related questions here. Hopefully
there are others who can answer other questions.

I think most would agree here that this feature is better added via the
active theme or at least a plugin. Maybe it's too cosmetic to be added to
core. But that's just my personal opinion based on my understanding of the
Habari philosophy and hence, subject to discussion like anything else.

Obviously, all the suggestions here are personal preferences and would
differ for each user. To address that, and because it's impractical to have
every style configurable, I was thinking of adding, as part of the theme
options that are going to be added to Charcoal in the upcoming release, a
text area box where you can add your own custom CSS. This would be applied
after the theme CSS and will allow you to override and change any styling,
while keeping the hard code intact for smoother upgrades. Do you think that
that implementation would serve your need?

Habari is translated by users and contributers like yourself. If you think
you can lend a hand with the translation of Habari, it would be greately
appreciated.

This is intentional. The tag cloud that ships with Charcoal theme is
intentionally simplified. There is already a plugin for a full fledged tag
cloud (RN Tag Cloud). When you activate and configure that plugin, it would
automatically override Charcoal's tag cloud.

Hiding the "Powered by Habari logo" is already a configurable "option" that
can be set from within the theme's Theme.php. It will still be an option
when these configurations are moved to a theme config form for 0.7.
