I was poking around in some of the new Trac 0.12 features and noticed that they now have an option to update tickets based on commit messages built in. I've turned on the feature, so from now on things like "fixes #123" should automatically close the referenced ticket. Keep an eye on it if you're making any commits over the next few days, just to make sure it's not... quirky, Trac does have a tendency to be that way.
