Does that work if, as in this case, the file I need to change isn't in system/classes? The original file is in system/schema/mysql. I've tried putting the modified file loose in user/classes and I've tried reproducing the folder hierarchy as user/classes/schema/mysql and as user/schema/mysql but none of them have worked. I came across the same stumbling block when I wanted to modify a file in system/admin. How does it work if you want to change a file not in system/classes?
