There was a previous thread here about installing on OS X that had some good
advice:

A quick Google turned up a guide written by lildude that details using the
built-in OS X servers. It's not the most straightforward and I'd probably
not recommend you go this route (for several reasons), but it's an option:

I'd probably recommend again for the MAMP option from the above thread, it's
dead simple. You can Google for install instructions for WordPress on OS X
with MAMP and get some great guides... The only thing that'd be a potential
gotcha with Habari is its PDO and mod_rewrite requirements (which WordPress
doesn't use). I don't know of MAMP has those enabled by default or not...
