Hi, I'm a newbie to Habari. I'm not a theme developer or a developer, so my questions may suggest some level of dimmness.
I uploaded the newest version to Dreamhost yesterday, imported all the files from my Wordpress files, and figured out that for my basic installation Habari uses 1/3rd the memory of Wordpress. So, this could really help me at my blog which has been using up to 400MB of memory at a time. I'd rather use less if possible and it looks like Habari will do that for me. I'd like to get a fully functional site as quickly as possible. So, I hunted for some plugins. Some work great. Naturally, I'm going to mention the ones that I'm having problems with: * Blogroll 0.6-beta : Does not display the blogroll even though I inserted <?php $theme->display_blogroll(); ?> in the sidebar. * aliencontanct-- Fatal error: Class AlienContact contains 1 abstract method and must therefore be declared abstract or implement the remaining methods (Plugin::info) in /home/ludiary357/rankexploits.com/habari/system/ plugins/aliencontact/aliencontact.plugin.php on line 371 * commentated -- The instructions tell me to... >>"To use this plugin, first activate it. Then, add the following to your theme >>where you want the >> comment preview to appear: >>1) A container element with the ID of 'comment-preview' with a style of >>'display:none' >>2) A container for each field with a corresponding class (.namecontainer, >> .urlcontainer, .contentcontainer) >>3) A placeholder for each field with a corresponding class (.nameholder, >>.urlholder, .contentholder) >> With these elements in place, the comment preview will be enabled." Could someone help me out and suggest a worked example in html? * http://code.google.com/p/bcse/wiki/FreshComments : This throws an error similar to the one from aliencontact. (I picked another comments plugin.) I'm going to have a bunch of questions about the Cache plugins too. But I think if I get answers to these, I'll have a good start.
