already a Twitter plugin that can display your status in a block as text
along with your profile photo.
It can actually do much more:
* display multiple recent statuses
* display multiple accounts as separate blocks
* filter out @ replies to other users
* have its output altered by your site's theme
* update your Twitter status when you post something new
Twitstamp seems really useful for things like forum signatures, but the
Twitter plugin for Habari can do much more without depending on a 3rd
party service.

There is also a release for 0.6, but it doesn't use blocks. You need to
add this line to the theme template where you want the Twitter output to
appear:
<?php $theme->twitter(); ?>
