For what it's worth, the plugin appears to include a huge list of
equivalent characters, which is the "normalization" approach mentioned in
#478 <https://github.com/habari/habari/issues/478>, though in an entirely
different context.

I have no idea why any of that is required to simply display a post. There
shouldn't be anything in the process of saving or retrieving a post that
modifies the content.
