All I did was to copy more data onto a HDD then it can handle.

Well I now seriously checked the HW and I don't find anything
hardware related.

Propably another great thing about softraid (wich is used at HDD "b").
I just was a lil bit stun as I saw it the ddb.


we do not support OpenBSD's softraid anyhow.

As a side note, a long time ago when I was working with RAIDframe, I've seen similar things happen... At that time, the solution was indeed to avoid softdep with raid partitions...

There is something fishy around layered FS's.
