It will seem to work, and you'll be able to receive strong signals but
it's treating the samples from the HackRF as unsigned when they are

Ok, thanks! I've changed the instructions into using the PPA build by
Alexandru Csete (thanks Alexandru!). It installs version 0.1.1.13, so i
guess we should be clear now.
