Hey All,
I just upgraded my Eclispe sensor and it doesn't appear to be working. Here is what I did to determine the problem:
1) I upgraded my Eclipse and Jupiter Sensor on my laptop. I noticed my problem. (Eclipse 3.0.0 and sensor 6.3.1104.3x).
2) I Fired up my desktop Eclipse which contained an older version ( i don't know what version). This version worked fine. The log file indicated that data was being sent.
3) I then upgraded my Eclipse sensor on my desktop and found the same problem.
4) I deleted all log files just to see if the Eclipse sensor at the very least created a log file. It didn't.
5) I also have checked the other sensor and they work.. JBuilder and JUnit sensors both work fine.
Now I have two broken Eclipse sensors on my laptop and desktop. I didn't log this in JIRA because I checked with Hongbing and he says that it seems to work for him. Is there anyone out there that is experiencing the same problem?
Here is my recommended approach to testing the Eclipse sensor.
If you haven't upgraded your sensor in the past couple days,
1) the delete all your log files.
2) Fire up Eclipse and check that the log files have been generated. You should have log files. And everything should work fine.
3) Delete the log files again.
4) Then upgrade your sensor
5) check that you have an eclipse log file
If you have upgraded your sensor yesterday or today, 1) delete all your log files. 2) Fire up Eclipse and check that the log files have been generated.
You will notice a problem if you have no eclipse log files.
thanks, aaron
