I found out that Jira 3.0 does not seem to work with JDK 1.4.2. It gives a Server Error.
After reinstalling 1.5 (so now I have both 1.4.2 and 1.5 installed on my computer) and editing the startup.bat that it uses (it comes with its own tomcat) to use that JDK version, my Jira 3.0 installation worked again. The good news is that the Jira sensor still works on Jira 3.0 nonetheless.
