Doug Cutting updated HADOOP-839:
--------------------------------

           Status: Open (was: Patch Available)
    Fix Version/s: 0.10.0

This incompatibly changes the public API. Wouldn't it be possible to instead
deprecate the getTypes() method and then provide a default implementation of
the new methods in terms of the old, deprecated method? Then, in the following
release, we can remove the deprecated method.
