Any chance of hadoop-core commits of 2532 (a new mapfile getClosest) and 2494 (Set +x on contrib/*/bin/*) before feature freeze?

The former will help for sure with hbase performance and the latter will 
make packaged contribs less hokey (users currently have to set execute 
bit on bin content).
