The most current release of NutchWAX runs on hadoop 0.9.2 according to
the home page. As Dennis below suggests, a common problem is trying to
use NutchWAX with a too-recent version of hadoop. But in your case,
going by the reported stacktrace, it looked like you are using the
default JVM on your linux box. You might try using the SUN JVM and see
if you still get exceptions.

What version of Hadoop are you using. AFAIK NutchWax needs Hadoop
0.12. If you are trying to import arc files into Nutch there is also a
new patch with an Arc to segments converter tool that directly creates
Nutch segments. That can be found here:
