I've started the process of transferring haifux.org to our new, cheaper registrar. I expect this to take something like a week to complete.
In theory, this is can be done with zero problems in accessing the web site and sending mail to the list. I've taken the measures to make it as smooth.
But since a domain transfer is in essence a transfer of responsibilities, and there are human beings involved in the process, there may be some problems. If you experience anything suspicious, please e-mail me privately (as the mailing list may not work, and false alarms are common). Note that the time constant for fixing DNS problems may be as high as 48 hours, so early alerts are important.
If there are DNS problems, you may access our site by setting www.haifux.org to 132.69.253.254 in /etc/hosts. Putting the IP address directly on the browser will not work. But we won't need that. ;)
