At last I am starting to work on the lecture...
The lecture will be with (PowerPoint LOL of course NOT) OpenOffice Impress
slides in hebrew.
The lecture will have the following outline:
1. What is Linux
2. What is free software
3. Graphical user interface in Linux
explaining the concept of window manager, demonstrating KDE, GNOME and
preferably some other window manager such as Windows Maker
4. Hebrew support in Linux
5. Using the internet with linux
Mainly a demonstration of using a browser, mail client and ICQ client in
Linux
6. Word processing in Linux
Demonstrating OpenOffice and Koffice
7. Music and Multimedia
Demonstration of short video clip and some music
8. Software development under linux
This should be only a short talk about the options and tools
Since there is a full lecture for this subject only
9. Summery
A short introduction to the other lecture in the series and some details
about the installation party.
I need to know who will assist me in the lecture.
I will need a computer running Linux with OpenOffice Installed.
This computer would preferabley have another window manager in addition to KDE
or GNOME.
This computer should have some kind of ICQ client or IRC client and A
multimedia player.
Unfortunatly I do not have a laptop at the moment.
