Actually, the source of the Linux *kernel* is indeed part of the normal
(binary) Redhat distribution - is is a package called "kernel-source".
It is *NOT* an "SRPM", but rather a normal package (installing stuff to
/usr/src/linux-*/). It is an important package because a significant
(though not high) percentage of Redhat users want to recompile the kernel.

The sources of the rest of the so-called GNU/Linux system - applications,
libraries, and so on - come in "SRPM" packages that 99% of the Redhat users
will never touch. For this reason they are available as a seperate CD
and it is not normally distributed in installation parties and the likes.
If you want the sources of a specific application, you can search for it
individually on the web.
