The slides are on-line on http://www.haifux.org/lectures/84/ .

I look at the pdf, and it seems like it is cut on the left side. the text
is very close to the edge on this side, and the total number of slides is
cut.

The small white text (for example on slide 8) is not very clear with the
light bright blue background behind it.

needed space in 'stale(expired)'

proxy servers cache errors in addition to what??

'to include ...and using' should be 'to include ...and to use'

I still am not sure where those headers are set. In the http server or in
the web page itself? Is it some meta tag? Some are set by the browser in
reloading the page. Please give an example as to how web authors should
mark pages that change often.

We are still very abstract. I feel a textual example is needed- where do I
read all those info bits? do I tap the communication between my client and
the rpoxy/server to know what my browser sends? Do I use strace? is it
written somewhere?

Again, examples are needed.

what if I am behind a NAT as well as behind a proxy? If I know I am
behind a NAT, so the results of those two queries cannot be the same, how
can I tell if I am behind a proxy as well?

'if you wish to use the apply'

23

'this prevents from using private DNS settings for testing purposes'

this sentence is totally unclear to me.

'proxies allow enable'
