no, because you didn't write enough details:

the device is hda? hdb? a SCSI disk?

which partition contains the '1st disk', and which contains the '2nd
disk'?

what command _exactly_ did you type?

what error message _exactly_ did you get?

note: linux still does not tell you "i don't want to tell you mount this
partition, because i don't like you".
