Friends, I thought about two possible solutions for Kinneret mirros:
1. ask all the Israeli ISPs to provide a mirror and limit the downloading only to their IP range. on the main downloading page there will be links to all the ISPs mirror sites, asking the users to download from their ISP. That way the ISPs do not "waste" too much resources and the users can download it fast. That solution need to be managed by someone from the comunity (ask the ISPs, manage the links) but it is very effective. 2. submit a new project to sf.net and use their built-in mirroring system. the only potential problem is if they limit the project sizes. This solution will cause all the ISPs to "waste" lot of external BW since ALL the users will download it from overseas.
